All women over the age of 50 will be invited for routine breast screening (mammography) every three years. Patients from each surgery will be invited when the service reaches their locality so you may not receive an invitation immediately upon attaining the age of 50. If you have not heard by your 53rd birthday, please contact the surgery.

Cervical Smear Screening
All women between the ages of 25 and 64 are eligible for a cervical smear test every three to five years.
Reminders are sent to all patients by the TVPCA (Thames Valley Patient Services Agency) automatically.
To ensure you receive the result without delay, please contact the surgery approximately 3 weeks following your smear test although you should receive a letter confirming the result in due course.
If further examination is required, the Laboratory will automatically refer you to a consultant for this. We will make every effort to contact you by letter advising you of this should it be necessary.
If you do not wish to be called for cervical screening, please complete a disclaimer form and return it to the surgery. This form can be located in Patient Forms.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to provide a comprehensive travel service. This is a non-NHS service and due to demands on our practice nurse team we are unable to provide this. We will continue to provide the following travel vaccinations which are available on the NHS.
You will find more informaton on how and where to obtain travel vaccinations under our section 'Further Information' on the right hand side of the screen, under item 6.
We have 5 female GPs who are trained and licensed to put in or remove long acting reversible implants and coils for contraceptive purposes. It is important that you inform our reception team if this is the purpose of your appointment to ensure you are booked into an appropriate length appointment and we have the correct equipment ready for your visit. You may be required to obtain a prescription or speak to the GP by telephone before your appointment.
Appointments are available on several different days of the week but please book in as early as possible to ensure you can be seen before your device licence expires.
We are able to offer this service to patients who are not registered for normal GP services with us. We will register you for contraceptive services only. Please speak to our reception team if you wish to register with us for this purpose.
