Urgent Appointments

We offer an urgent morning clinic for patients who require a same day/urgent appointment. Patient may be offered an appointment with a GP, nurse practitioner, practice nurse or HCA depending on the medical condition you are presenting with.  Please do not use this service inappropriately, which will prevent other patients seeing one of our duty team.  Our receptionists are fully trained and will ask you basic questions to ensure you are put with the appropriate clinician.  Please note, we do not offer any urgent appointments at Old Anchor Surgery. The service is a NOT a walk-in clinic.   A record of patients invited to attend is kept.

Patients may be required to complete an e-consult (see Home Page).

We respectfully request patients do not attend earlier than the time offered as this will just prolong the wait and clog up the waiting room and car park.

Telephone Advice

Urgent telephone advice will be given either by the duty nurse or duty doctor. You will be asked the nature of the problem and for your telephone number so that we can call you back.

We also offer telephone consultations with your usual doctor and these can be booked in advance as for routine consultations.  If you are booking for test results or to discuss an ongoing medical condition, please book with the GP you have been seeing.
