Flu and Covid Vacccinations
The following people are eligible for an Autumn Covid Booster:
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- All adults aged 65 years and over
- People aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group, as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the Covid-19 chapter of the UKHSA Green Bookon Immunisation
- Frontline health and social care workers.
- People aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression, as defined in the UKHSA Green Book
- People aged 16 to 64 years who are carers, as defined in the UKHSA Green Book, and staff working in care homes for older adults
Patients in the flu categories are also eligible for a covid vaccination and we are happy to co-administer these vaccinations.
All eligible patients will receive a text message invite with a link attached to book themselves an appointment at the surgery.
If you don’t have a smartphone and are not registered for online access/bookings, then please call 02380 692000, opt 1 for the Care Navigation Team after 10.30 am.
Patients will be invited to receive their vaccines at their registered GP practice, but can also visit local pharmacies or a mass vaccination centre (these will be listed on the national booking system).
